Company History
Roomlinx was founded in 1998 as a private corporation. Anticipating the rapid deployment of WiFi networks, Roomlinx launched the most advanced wireless and wired Internet solution for business, servicing hotel guests, convention-center exhibitors, and special-event participants. In 2004, Roomlinx went public and was listed on the NASDAQ OTC exchange. The company worked at building its customer base, which now includes some of the best-known and highly respected names in the hospitality industry , such as JW Marriott, Hyatt, and more.
In 2007, Roomlinx recognized that guests’ habits and demands were changing. They no longer used networks for just checking email; they were using them to access rich media content. At the same time, hotels were updating their televisions to LCDs and looking for opportunities to control the look and feel of content delivered to guests.
Roomlinx combined their development expertise and robust networks to create and deliver an interactive TV solution to meet guests’ and hoteliers’ needs. We now have an extended product offering that includes a unique, customizable, Internet-based, in-room system capable of delivering a one-of-a-kind guest experience while also offering exceptional financial benefits to hotelier.
Today, Roomlinx serves over 47,000 hotel rooms, and leads the industry in providing sound WiFi infrastructures, iTV applications, and best-in-class support to hotels in the United States, Canada, and select global markets.
