Total Revenue Increased 15% and Monthly Hospitality Recurring Revenue Increased 79% Year over Year

Denver, CO, August 14, 2013– Roomlinx, Inc. (OTCBB: RMLX), the innovative developer of media networks and interactive TV (iTV) applications for the hospitality industry, today announced financial results for the three months ended June 30, 2013.

In the second quarter of 2013, total revenue increased 15% to $2.4 million compared to second quarter of 2012. Hospitality revenue in the second quarter of 2013 increased 16% to $2.2 million, compared to $1.9 million in same period in 2012. This increase is primarily related to the increase in the Company’s monthly recurring revenue associated with its revenue generating units (“RGUs”).

An RGU is defined as a product or service for which the Company invoices the hotel monthly, including interactive television, video on demand, free to guest programming, and high speed internet access. As of June 30, 2013, the Company was servicing approximately 82,000 RGUs within the hospitality sector, a 71% increase over the number of RGUs being serviced as of June 30, 2012.

Hospitality Revenue Generating Units (RGU) as of June 30, 2013:

The company also realizes approximately $70,000 in monthly recurring revenue within its residential segment.

The hospitality segment consists of service revenue which is monthly recurring revenue attributable to RGUs and product, plus installation revenue which is one-time revenue. Hospitality service revenue increased to $1.3 million in the second quarter of 2013 compared to $0.7 million in the same period in 2012, a 79% increase, while hospitality product and installation revenue decreased $0.3 million to $0.9 million. Residential revenue was down to $218,000 in the second quarter of 2013 compared to $231,000 in the same period in 2012, a 6% decrease.

Basic and diluted weighted average shares outstanding for the three months ended June 30, 2013 were 6,405,413 compared to 5,893,814 in the year-earlier period.

For the three months ended June 30, 2013, Roomlinx reported a net loss of $719,090, compared to a net loss of $1,811,630 for the three months ended June 30, 2012, a reduction of net loss of $1,092,540. Net loss not inclusive of non-cash items was $411,090. The decrease in net loss is primarily attributable to the 79% increase in hospitality recurring revenues and the $557,152 reduction in operating expenses.

Recent key accomplishments at Roomlinx include:

Reduced net loss by over $1.0 million year over year and $0.7 million quarter over quarter.

Increased hospitality recurring revenue by 79%.

Second quarter 2013 RGUs in service increased 71% compared to the second quarter of 2012.

Roomlinx CEO, Michael Wasik, summed up the second quarter results by stating, “Focusing our efforts on increasing our recurring revenues and decreasing our operating costs has delivered positive results. Roomlinx remains focused on these initiatives in order to attain positive cash flow and position our company for long term success. We expect this favorable trend to continue.”

Hyatt’s strategy to drive business growth by simplifying and enhancing the guest experience with Roomlinx interactive TV (iTV) technology was profiled in the cover story of Lodging’s June 2012 issue.

Monthly Hospitality Recurring Revenue increased 75% Year over Year

Denver, CO, May 20, 2013– Roomlinx, Inc. (OTCBB: RMLX), the innovative developer of media networks and interactive TV (iTV) applications for the hospitality industry, today announced financial results for the three months ended March 31, 2013 and its business strategy outlook for the remainder of the year.

In the first quarter of 2013, total revenue increased 38% to $2.1 million compared to first quarter of 2012. Hospitality revenue in the first quarter of 2013 increased 47% to $1.9 million, compared to $1.3 million in same period in 2012.

As of March 31, 2013, the Company was servicing approximately 78,000 RGUs within the hospitality sector, a 151% increase over RGUs being serviced March 31, 2012.

Hospitality Revenue Generating Units (RGU) as of March 31, 2013:

The company also realizes approximately $70,000 in monthly recurring revenue within its residential segment.

The hospitality segment consists of service revenue which is monthly recurring revenue attributable to RGUs and product, plus installation revenue which is one-time revenue. Hospitality service revenue increased to $1.4 million in the first quarter of 2013 compared to $0.8 million in the same period in 2012, a 75% increase, while hospitality product and installation revenue remained flat with 2012 at $0.5 million. Residential revenue was down to $217,000 in the first quarter of 2013 compared to $239,000 in the same period in 2012, a 9% decrease.

Basic and diluted weighted average shares outstanding for the three months ended March 31, 2013 were 6,405,413 compared to 5,118,877 in the year-earlier period.

The net loss in the 2013 first quarter of $1.4 million, or $0.22 per share, exceeded the net loss of $1.0 million, or $0.20 per share in last year’s first quarter. $328,000 of the loss is attributable to non-cash items. At the end of 2012, the Company had operations personnel to support multiple installations per quarter. In the first quarter of 2013, the Company observed a decline in the number of installations and, accordingly, management decreased infrastructure and personnel to better align with projected installations for the remainder of the year. Such cost containment steps have continued into the second quarter.

Recent key accomplishments at Roomlinx include:

Increased hospitality recurring revenue by 75% from first quarter 2012 to the first quarter 2013.

First quarter 2013 RGUs in service increased 151% compared to the first quarter of 2012.

Reduced operating expenses by over $200,000 in the first quarter of 2013 as compared to the fourth quarter of 2012.

The Roomlinx management team recognizes the ongoing challenges of the evolving technology space within the hospitality industry. One of the greatest hurdles is the cost of installation for properties seeking to upgrade their current infrastructure to meet the technology demands of the end users. Properties resist purchasing a high cost in-room entertainment solution because traditional revenue streams, such as pay-per-view movies, continue to decline. Roomlinx is committed to developing and offering technology solutions that match the right product to each hotel’s existing TV and cabling infrastructure while still meeting the increasingly complex expectations of tech savvy guests.

In May of 2013, Roomlinx executed a Fourth Amendment to its Revolving Credit, Security and Warrant Purchase Agreement with Cenfin LLC. The amendment provided Cenfin (the lender) discretion as it relates to funding requests. Management is closely monitoring the cash balances, cash needs and expense levels and has implemented a cost reduction plan.

To that end, Roomlinx presents the following business strategy outlook for 2013. We are focused on the following goals:

Decrease costs and increase revenues in an effort to attain profitability.

Raise additional capital to meet current and projected capital needs.

Increase monthly recurring revenue streams.

Launch iTV Mobile in the fourth quarter and aggressively seek pre-sales of iTV Mobile.

Evaluate strategic alternatives that allow the Company to return value to our stakeholders.

Roomlinx’s flagship product and highest gross margin contributor is iTV. Roomlinx iTV continues to record strong guest usage rates (currently averaging over 3 million clicks per month); however, the high installation cost of iTV remains prohibitive for some potential customers. Roomlinx’s sales and product initiatives are aimed at accelerating market penetration by significantly reducing the cost of installation while still meeting the needs of hotel guests and generating an attractive gross margin.

Roomlinx is excited to announce that it is targeting a launch of its iTV Mobile platform during the fourth quarter of 2013. Roomlinx iTV Mobile is the next progression in the Roomlinx suite of product offerings designed to meet the diverse needs of the hospitality industry. While Roomlinx iTV brings the internet, content and guest services to the hotel room TV, Roomlinx iTV Mobile expands the benefits of iTV to guests’ personal devices. Roomlinx believes its iTV Mobile platform will accelerate market penetration by allowing properties to choose between a full iTV integration or a more cost effective Roomlinx iTV Mobile offering intended solely for guests’ personal devices.

The Company believes the value proposition of iTV Mobile include:

Strong recurring revenue model for Roomlinx – targeted at $3-$4 per room per month with approximately a 90% gross margin.

Minimal or no cost installation option for hotels, which the Company believes allows for a quicker market penetration.

Significantly lower cost for Roomlinx to service and support.

Expanded market opportunity to attract limited service hotels with a lower cost installation.

Rapid installation.

Guest will appreciate multiple options to access media and entertainment through personal devices.

Provides for a new service offering and revenue stream for hotels.

Roomlinx CEO Michael Wasik summed up his near term strategy for the Company by stating, “Our team is dedicated to creating value for our shareholders and customers. As we tackle the challenges of a constantly evolving technology environment and financial constraints, we remain dedicated to providing innovative, first-to-market products and services to our hospitality partners. Following a quick and aggressive expansion over the past year, it made sense for us to refocus our business strategy to better accommodate the needs of the industry. I am excited about what the future offers and confident that Roomlinx will continue to develop and deploy smart solutions that meet and exceed the needs of our customers, thus positioning our company for long-term success.”

2012 Revenue Up 119% Year-over-Year

Denver, CO, April 16, 2013 – Roomlinx, Inc. (OTCBB: RMLX), the innovative developer of media networks and interactive TV (iTV) applications for the hospitality industry, today announced financial results for the year ended December 31, 2012.

In 2012, total revenue increased 119% to $13.6 million from $6.2 million. Hospitality revenue in 2012 increased 140% to $12.8 million compared to $5.3 million in 2011. Residential revenue was down slightly to $915,000 in 2012 compared to $942,000 in 2011.

Total revenue in the fourth quarter of 2012 increased 230% to $7.6 million, up from $2.3 million in the fourth quarter of 2011. Hospitality revenue was the primary driver of this growth and increased 265% in the fourth quarter of 2012 to $7.3 million, up from $2.0 million in the prior year’s fourth quarter. Residential revenue was down slightly to $224,000 in the fourth quarter of 2012 compared to $244,000 in the same period last year.

The Company measures its performance based on incremental recurring revenue generated by the number of revenue generating units (“RGUs”) in service. Recurring revenue is our monthly invoicing of RGUs which we define as the continued delivery of our products and service. Regarding the hospitality sector, a hotel room may have one or more RGUs, including interactive television, video on demand, free to guest programming, and high speed internet access. Residential properties may also have more than one RGU, which includes telephone, internet and television.

As of December 31, 2012, the Company was servicing approximately 75,000 RGUs within the hospitality sector, a 72% increase over 2011. Roomlinx also supports 16 residential communities and small businesses, representing an additional 3,600 RGUs.

The net loss in the 2012 fourth quarter of $2.0 million exceeded the net loss of $840,000 in the fourth quarter of 2011. In 2012, our net loss was $7.4 million compared to a net loss of $2.7 million in 2011. Net loss for the year ended December 31, 2012 includes a non-cash charge of $1.1 million reflecting a loss on asset impairment related to Roomlinx’s wholly owned subsidiary, Cardinal Hospitality, Ltd.

Basic and diluted weighted average shares outstanding for the year ended December 31, 2012 was 5,809,406 compared with 5,072,157 for the year ended December 31, 2011. The year-over-year increase in shares principally reflects the issuance of shares to certain private investors under a Securities Purchase Agreement in May 2012.

Denver, Colorado, January 23, 2013 – Roomlinx Inc., (OTC: RMLX), the innovative developer of media networks and interactive TV (iTV) applications for the hospitality industry today announced the successful implementation and operation of Roomlinx iTV distributed via a Roomlinx installed and managed HSIA (High Speed Internet Access ) network.

Roomlinx has now completed multiple property installations, totaling approximately 1,000 TV units, all providing high definition Interactive TV via the Roomlinx designed and installed 802.11n dual band 5Ghz networks.

According to Gary Sandhu, Roomlinx Vice President of Implementation, “The 5GHz wireless networks that Roomlinx is installing today provide enough distribution and capacity for every guest to simultaneously stream high definition (HD) content from our local, onsite servers, regardless of the external broadband connection available at the property. The successful implementation and operation of wireless distribution is a significant step forward in the process of migrating next-generation, guest-facing services and content into the cloud. It also opens the door for Roomlinx to expand guest content options beyond the TV to guest’s personal devices, including smartphones, laptops, and tablets.”

“This is a substantial advancement for Roomlinx. The ability to support large scale wireless distribution of our Interactive TV platform paves the way for us to provide many of the same new guest facing features, benefits, and next-gen services that we have traditionally provided over our wired networks” said Mike Wasik, Roomlinx’s CEO. “The ability to bypass aging hotel infrastructure while increasing quality and quantity of guest services is expected to accelerate the adoption of our iTV platform and other next generation technologies throughout the hotel industry.”

Roomlinx’s Expanding List of Tier-1 In-Room Advertisers Now Includes HP

Denver, Colorado – Dec. 4, 2012 — Roomlinx Inc., (OTC: RMLX), the innovative developer of media networks and interactive TV (iTV) applications for the hospitality industry, has announced it will work with HP to provide hotel guests with modern, state of the art Internet and TV services based on HP networking and thin client technology.

Under this agreement, HP will also advertise a range of technology services and products through the Roomlinx iTV system. Roomlinx has previously named Dish and Starz as advertisers on the in-room system. Hyatt Hotels in North America are among the first to offer guests the Roomlinx iTV system. Roomlinx expects to install its technologies in up to 60,000 Hyatt full service hotel rooms over the next
24 months.

“With the recent marketing and service commitments from DISH, Starz, and now HP, we are proving our dedication to both create new sources of revenue and to directly decrease costs for our hotel partners,” said Roomlinx Chief Executive Officer Michael Wasik. “As Roomlinx’s installed base of interactive guestrooms ramps rapidly in the coming months, we look for expanding opportunity for additional advertisers to highlight their products and services on our platform.”

Wasik continued, “In addition to flexible charge-for-use guest packages and conference products and services, the Roomlinx model is compelling because it allows hotels and resorts to upgrade their TV and Internet systems cost effectively by allowing guest-relevant marketing on these systems – through interactive videos, local service listings, and direct product advertising. This not only enables our hotel partners to generate new revenues from in-room advertising on the Roomlinx iTV system but it also offsets, in part, the installation and deployment cost of the system itself.

“HP’s goal is to enable a high quality entertainment experience for hotel guests with its thin client and other network technologies that drive the Roomlinx iTV and Internet system, ” said Jeff Groudan, director of marketing for Thin Clients at HP. “HP’s technology will help Roomlinx roll out its iTV systems to more hotels, more quickly—allowing hotels and resorts to upgrade and modernize their TV and Internet systems very cost effectively and to offer relevant guest-relevant marketing over these platforms.”
